Has Google Maps and Street View Proved that Aliens Exist?

In the 12 years that Google Maps has been available, many strange things have been noted. Some of these things have been adequately explained while others have remained a mystery. However, could the sheer number of findings that haven’t yet been given a rational explanation possible be something to do with beings from another world?

Many people believe that aliens are real, and a large proportion of believers also think that aliens have already made contact with out planet. The following things which can be seen on Google Maps and Google Street View are some of the things that have yet to be explained by the more sceptical people out there. Are they natural phenomena, technical glitches or proof that aliens exist? You decide…

This strange floating island known as ‘El Ojo de Otamendi’ in Argentina is a perfectly circular-shaped piece of land that floats in a body of water and is even known to rotate on an axis, just like Earth does. While it certainly is amazing to look at – even on Google Maps – it’s the shape that has got people thinking that this is something from another world. Some people believe that this is the entrance to an alien base, as the circle is large enough to allow a 100 metre UFO through.

This image was captured by a satellite and is currently on Google Maps in Arizona, USA. People believe that this could be a crashed flying saucer, and the fact that it happens to be in a restricted area only makes people even more curious about it. While there has been no official explanation as to what it could be, some people think it could simply be a yurt hut.

This mysterious shape which appeared in a field in Australia has sparked many questions. Depicted as a large triangle with bright lights evenly placed around it, this peculiar object is considered by many to be definitive proof that aliens are among us. First discovered over 10 years ago, this image has baffled UFO enthusiasts. The official explanation is that this could be a remote-controlled wind farm, but what do you think?

It’s not just the habitable continents that have had UFO sightings via Google Maps. This picture was taken above Antarctica and is believed to be a crash site for an alien craft of some description. There certainly is some sort of unexplained dent in the snow here, but what could have caused it? Could it be something extra-terrestrial, or just a natural phenomena that occurs in this kind of climate?

For such a sparsely populated place, Antarctica has had more than its fair share of UFIO sightings on Google maps. Perhaps the fact that there are very few people there makes it a place for aliens to visit. One thing for sure is that the south pole definitely appears to be a hive of extra-terrestrial activity. The circle in the above picture is widely believed to be a flying saucer, and as yet there has been no logical explanation for what is shown in the image.
